EXTERIOR STUCCO SYSTEM FOR INSULATED CONCRETE FORMS (ICF)
I. DESCRIPTION and SCOPE
The MULTICOAT INSULATED CONCRETE FORM (ICF) SYSTEM incorporates a Base Coat of SCRATCH KOTE 2000 and a Finish Coat of MULTI-TEX STUCCO MIX applied over vertical substrate of properly prepared ICF block. The SYSTEM provides a decorative finish to all makes and types of ICF Block.
The scope of this specification describes all materials and installation procedures for the MULTICOAT ICF SYSTEM.

III. SURFACE PREPARATION
1. ICF Block must be installed according to manufacturers and architectural specifications.
The ICF Block substrate must be structurally sound and free of oil, paint, sealers and other foreign materials which may prevent proper bonding.
Repair and fill all holes or divots in ICF Block with SCRATCH KOTE 2000.
IV. APPLICATION
1. Base Coat - SCRATCH KOTE 2000 (furnished in 65 lb. bags)
A. Mix with potable (clean) water in approximate amount of 1 3/4 - 2 1/4 gallons per 65 lb. bag preferably with MULTICOAT Mixing Paddle. Mix vigorously to disperse all lumps and thoroughly wet all particles. (1-1 1/2 minutes minimum after all dry material added)
B. Adjust to desired consistency.
C. Apply by spray or trowel to entire substrate.
D. Embed and trowel Fiberglass Mesh in SCRATCH KOTE 2000. Cure minimum of 12 hours before proceeding, longer in cool weather.
2. Finish Coat - MULTICOAT STUCCO MIX (furnished in 65 lb buckets)
A. Factory premixed colored stucco mix must be mechanically mixed before application to ensure uniformity. If using "Tint Base", stucco mix with color additives, before mixing, pour entire bottle contents into 65 lb stucco mix pail, then add two caps full of clean water into empty bottle, shake vigorously and add with continued mechanical mixing.
B. Apply Multicoat stucco mix directly to base coated wall with trowel or sprayer, and finish to desired texture.
V. WARNING
Do not apply if surface temperature is below 50°F, or over 100°F, or if ambient temperature is less than 50°F and falling, over 100°F and rising, or if precipitation or extreme high humidity is expected within a 24-hour period.
VI. WARRANTY
